This issues just gives a taste of the characters that are to follow. The Pioneer 10 carries a message into space and Kirby and Bobbi Cortez watch on. Then it goes to different places in the inverse and the chaos that it there. The second half of the book is images of Jack Kirby creations and Alex Ross drawings of the characters that will appear in this series.

Dreams across the Universe 0

I think the point of an issue # 0 is to incite curiosity and interest towards the readers, so I proudly admit that this issue has fullfilled 100% it´s goal, because I was already super interested to get my hands in this series, since it was announced early february 2011, and the fact that there are two Brazilian artists involved - Jackson Herbert and Vinicius Andrade - working with two milestones of the industry - Kurt Busiek and Alex Ross - making a comic book that´s influenced and a tribute/ho...

  In the summer of 2010, I first heard about an Kirby event so huge it would not only rebuild the Kirbyverse of Topps comics, but also bring together EVERY obscured KIRBY character that The KING himself has created from the 80's and 90's (from short lived comics through unused drawing board designs). "The Trader or the Tiger" 0

The all-star team of Kurt Busiek and Alex Ross take the spirit of Jack Kirby and deliver us more "Marvels".  This book does have that classic Marvel comics super-hero feel and part of the reason is Jack Kirby played a strong role in the visual presentation of the most popular comic universe around.  I love the idea of forgotten Kirby characters finally running rampant for a new generation of comic readers to see.  Jack Kirby may not be like an Alan Moore who pushed the limits of structure, but K...
