A movie based on Mark Millar and Dave Gibbons' THE SECRET SERVICE is headed to theaters on February 13, 2015. Starring Colin Firth, Samuel L. Jackson, Taron Egerton, and a pug, 20th Century Fox has released four character posters over at IMDB.

The posters are following, what we call, the Between the Legs Shot theme.

I'm looking forward to this one, but here's a prediction....They're going to cop flak over these posters.

Yea... except OJ stabbed his victim. Pistorus shot his victim through a closed bathroom door.

It's some kind of father/son spy comic that takes a lot of inspiration from James Bond and other movies and combines this with a family drama of sorts; it's not the father teaching his son but the uncle who takes care of his criminal-minded nephew. It is far from being a perfect story and some dialogues seem to be way too long while some other things are just mentioned along the way. Also, keep in mind this comic contains blood, violence, nudity, and lots of profanity. Some of the minor characters (family members and friends) are obnoxious and I really had a hard time to keep reading through some of the nonsense! Perhaps it's worth mentioning that, sadly, those people do even exist in real life.

Rating? I'm rather critical and I'd give it a slightly-below-average rating because some of the things are just no-go's for me. Nonetheless, it's an intriguing plot and entertaining story and mini-series with a rather surprising end plus some sort of positive message. Still I wouldn't read it for a second time, and it's rather ironical that it's going to be a movie, again. Perhaps it's going to be a better movie than comic though. Well, if these are two of you favorite creators you should read it and you'll probably like it more than I did. Hope it helps.
