Nothing is known about Kyd Wykkyd's origins. At some point he joined with the HIVE Academy under Brother Blood, and remained a student there until it was destroyed by Cyborg. He later joined with several other former students to create the villainous HIVE Five.

Kyd Wykkyd was originally created for the Teen Titans animated television series. He made his first appearance in comics in Teen Titans Go! #40, written by J. Torres and illustrated by Johane Matte.

Teen Titans Go!

Kyd Wykkyd is a member of the HIVE Five and engages in minor crimes with his friends. He is impersonated by Raven during a meeting with the Five, leading to their capture. He is amongst those who declines to join, and is thus pitted against the villains who wish to join, becoming part of the test. He is rendered unconscious along with all the other villains.
