Kevin Smith wrote a short story about Jay and Silent Bob titled chasing Dogma and another short story falling into the events leading up to Mallrats called Walt Flanigans Dog.

Marvel Comics:
In 1999 Kevin Smith began working with Marvel Comics . He was taking over as the writer of Daredevil. He only lasted eight issues in his run called " Guardian Devil ". But since the beginning of his time with Marvel the whole situation was in lots of turmoil., delays (even though artist Joe Quesada took full blame for all the delays.) Smiths time on Daredevil was very controversial with many Daredevil fans. Some of the fans said that Smith had a hatred towards women because of the way he handled the death of Karen Page , and others were appalled at the fact that Mysterio was killed in a series that was not a Spider-man series due to that fact that Mysterio is Spider-man’s long time enemy. But not too worry for the Spidey fans because Howard Mackie and John Byrne (the writers of Spider-Man titles at the time) brought Mysterio back to life. But funny enough, because of the constant delays that the Daredevil run had, the story of Mysterio;s return to life in the Spider-Man book was actually published BEFORE issues of Daredevil that featured Mysterio’s death was published.
DC Comics:
In 2000 Kevin Smith Wrote the comic Green Arrow Volume 3. A series that revived the character Oliver Queen. In November 2008 Kevin Smith's second DC story titled Batman Cacophony released as a three issue story.
