Kenshi used to wander Earthrealm searching for worthy competition until he came across a man named Song; who told him that a great warrior needed a great sword and he knew were he could find one. Song led him to its location. As Kenshi unsealed the well he was overwhelmed by the trapped souls and was permanently blinded. Song revealed himself as Shang Tsung and consumed the souls of his ancestors leaving him to die in the tomb. However, the sword which actually existed, led him out. Kenshi spent a decade learning how to use his other senses and vowing to kill Shang Tsung for his betrayal and defiling his ancestors. In Kenshi's Mortal Kombat final ending, his senses have increased alot and he lived the rest of his life in a soundless dark cave.
