Ken Watanabe was born in Japan in 1959. Achieving success in show business both domestically as well as internationally, he has won the Japan Academy Prize for Best Actor twice, and has been nominated for the Academy Award for Best Supporting Actor once. In Hollywood, he is known for his roles in Memoirs of a Geisha, The Last Samurai and Inception among other films. To comic book reading audiences, he is known for his role as the decoy Ra's al Ghul in Christopher Nolan's Batman Begins.
