Keith Williams began his comics career in 1982 at
Marvel, as a background inker, for example working with
John Byrne. He was also an assistant editor to
Jim Owsley. Later on, as full time inker he worked on comics like
Transformers,
Web of Spider-Man,
Quasar and
The Mask.
In 1994, he succeeded
Sy Barry as artist on
The Phantom daily strip, working together with Barry's assistant George Olesen. Williams inked the strip until 2005.
In recent years, Williams has inked comics for
Moonstone Books on titles like
Kolchak,
The Phantom/Captain Action and
Buckaroo Banzai (which he inked
the movie adaption of for Marvel).
