David Cassidy played the role of Keith Partridge for 96 episodes and four seasons from 1970 to 1974, on the ABC television series "The Partridge Family". David's voice and that of Shirley Jones, aka Shirley Partridge, were the ony two voices of the series' stars that were actually used in the songs. An interesting fact is that while Shirley Jones played his mother on the show, she was his step-mother in real life. David was a real teen heartthrob back in the early 1970's. A color picture of him was plastered on the cover of many teen magazines for several years.
