Birth Name: 楳図一雄

An author/artist of Japanese horror and other manga, as well as a musician and actor. Kazuo Umezu started drawing professionally in the 1950s, is considered the most influential horror manga artist ever. In 1975 he won the 20th Shogakukan Manga Award for The Drifting Classroom. His work has been adapted into movies, anime and collectibles.
