Justin Hammer
Character » Justin Hammer appears in 160 issues.
A longtime foe of Iron Man who as a criminal mastermind employed super-villains and organized criminal operations.
Sam Rockwell Is "Justin Hammer"
I've said before how much I adore the older, more threatening villain that never has to get his hands dirty; which is why I am so excited to see Justin Hammer in the upcoming Iron Man 2 film! The last time that Sam Rockwell talked about his character, he indicated that his "Justin Hammer" and Mickey Rourke's " Whiplash" would be teaming up in the upcoming film against Downey's " Iron Man/Tony Stark." However, we have not really seen very many images at all of Rockwell's character which makes me curious. What we do know is that he will be portrayed as being considerably younger than in the comic book, which makes me wonder if he will take on a more physical role. I wouldn't mind seeing Iron Man get punched out by Justin Hammer, I'll admit I would laugh. What do you guys think? Based on the new image of Rockwell's character, what do you think he will be doing in this scene?
Im hoping he will be more of a mastermind because it does get a little much that the villian in every super-hero movie has to have a physical fight at the end, I would like to see him outmatch Stark to the point that he has to use the Iron Man to win
Always been a huge Sam Rockwell fan. If you haven't seen it yet I highly recommend checking out his new movie "Moon".
I think it's perfect that they will have a younger Justin Hammer. This way, he perfectly fits the role of "Tony Stark's counterpart". Two men who are from the same generation in the same business but differ in motives and goals. Where Tony has accepted accountability and responsibility as reasons to use his genius for good, Justin Hammer is ignoring all acountability and responsibility in order to get the bigger contracts and the more power.
Once Tony saw the potential chaos weapons create, he took initiative to put an end to it. Meanwhile, Hammer doesn't seem to care, and in fact, attempts to use it for his own personal gain.
In the first movie, Tony went up against Obadiah, who comes from his father's era. He already went up against an older generation. I think it would be repetitive if Hammer was to stick to his original old self. Once again, Tony would be going up against someone from his father's era. This way, he goes up against someone from his own generation. And in a way, it could be subliminally be Tony going up against himself.

Personally I'm glad that Justin Hammer won't be an old man.Sam Rockwell matches perfectly the role of the millionaire villain.Justin teaming up with Whiplash?Wow,that's a good idea.I'm really glad that the role went to him.Mickey Rourke's Whiplash?Well I'm not to excited about it.Anyhow I'm excited about it and hope he won't die in the end of the movie.
my question is will the movie have bits of the armor wars in it, because it look like it in the trailer
