This page covers the Marvel comicbook hero Justice also known as Marvel Boy . If this is not the page you were looking for check here.

Justice is a former founding New Warrior and Avenger with a criminal record, and a famous future counterpart.

Origin

When Vance Atrovik was just a teenager, he was visited by an alternate future version of himself, Major Vance Astro from the Guardians of the Galaxy. In order to save the younger version from a life like he had, Major Astro convinced the young Astrovik not to pursue his dream of being an astronaut. His powers were also awakened much earlier that those of the Guardians' Astro.

For a short time, Vance used his powers as a costumed wrestler, developing his fighting skills. When he became older, Vance decided he wanted nothing more than to be an Avenger, and attempted to try out by going to Avengers' Mansion. After being defeated by the mansion's defense systems, Astro was politely turned down by his hero, Captain America. Soon after, Astro was approached by Night Thrasher, who was attempting to put together a team of his own to fight his war on crime. Calling himself 'Marvel Boy', Astro joined the New Warriors. He soon became romantically involved with teammate Firestar.

Soon after, Vance had a confrontation with his violent and abusive alcoholic father, who had a problem with Vance being a mutant, and ended up killing him. He was charged with manslaughter, and went to prison. When he was finally released, Astro changed his name and costume, becoming known as 'Justice', and rejoined the Warriors as their leader. At that same time, he proposed to Firestar.

Firestar and Justice left the Warriors to join the Avengers, and served briefly with them before leaving to plan their wedding. Vance got annoyed with doing all the preperations himself, and after confronting Firestar about it, the wedding was cancelled, with Firestar admitting she was too young to get married.

Justice was not a member of the Warriors when the disaster at Stamford occurred, but did experience the backlash of anti-New Warrior feeling, leading to him joining the 'Secret Avengers' led by Captain America.

Vance is currently working at the Initiative training facility in Stamford. He and Hellion (of the New X-Men) are considered the last to Telekinetics on earth.
