Last Of The 30 JSA Members Drawn By Jun Bob Kim 3/3

Posted by xerox_kitty (15762 posts) - - Show Bio

The concluding part of Jun Bob Kim's project to draw 30 JSA Members In 30 Days. Although there's 30 characters, there are actually 32 images in total as Wonder Woman is lucky enough to get 3 pictures dedicated to her!

I hope you've enjoyed these as much as I have. Personally, it's been an eye-opener and an introduction to some Golden Age characters I wasn't aware of, compared to their assorted Silver Age, Bronze Age or even Modern Age counterparts. There are quite a few Sandmen and Starmen (curse you DC Comics & your endless mantles & legacies!!).

Which have been your favourites

This is Part Three of Three! If you like these, then don't miss Part One or Part Two!

Sandman (Sandy Hawkins)
Golden Age Sandman (Wesley Dodds)
Golden Age Spectre
Starman/Star Boy
Golden Age Starman (Ted Knight)
Starman (Jack Knight)
Bronze Age Star-Spangled Kid
Golden Age Superman
Golden Age Wildcat
Golden Age Wonder Woman
Golden Age Wonder Woman Again
Even More Golden Age Wonder Woman

I absolutely adore Sandy. What were you confused about?

@ReVamp: Oh, it's been a crash course in the different Sandmen & Starmen for me. I know DC has a thing for passing on mantles, but I didn't realise there'd been so many!

GA Superman looks awesome...The first WW pic looks like she's gonna strip.

Researching the character was an educational experience for me also... I did not know that there were that many versions of Sandman (even excluding Gaiman's book).

To be honest, I ended up doing three different WW, because I was not happy with how the first two turned out.

@junbobkim: I like the Wonder Women, and think she resembles a raven-haired Sarah Michelle Gellar a little bit :)

I didn't realise Sandman was so popular, but the 'Sandy' Sandman has had a lot of positive feedback :)
