Justice Society of America
Team » Justice Society of America appears in 1370 issues.
The Justice Society of America was the 1st super team in the DCU. Currently, they are a large group of crime-fighters that are protecting and rebuilding Monument Point following a catastrophic battle. The emphasis here is on training and preparing the next generation of heroes.
JSA will be back
I just read on the Source that the JSA will in fact be back! Thoughts?
They (as in DC) better...is all I have to say about that. You just don't revamp things to the point where you completely discard the grandfather of superhero teams. You just simply do not do it.
“It’s everything you want, but not what you expect,” Oh! that got me curious! I wondered about them! they couldn't just get rid of those original chracters...wonder what I should not expect? That makes me think they're going to write stories about the JSA in the past rather than them be old in the present.
Ug I was hoping the golden aged heroes of the JSA were gone for good or at least retconed.:O Blasphemy!

@The_Tree: I would be okay with that, and it would still leave room for all of the legacy characters.
So would I, I'd love to read stories, about when they were the top dogs of the DCU, and all of their members were alive.
@The_Tree:
Don't want to bring anyone down here but DC talked about making Superman the first hero so I don't think they're going to make JSA in the WW2 setting.

Brian Azzarello also hinted that Captain Marvel is coming back: http://www.newsarama.com/comics/fan-expo-2011-dc-flashpoint-110826.html (in the last paragraph)
To me it would be better if they were around but not as Superheroes.
Ted Grant could have been a great Boxing champ and own a gym but wasn't wildcat superhero. Wildcat could have been his ring name.
Jay Garrick could be mayor of the city flash is based in.
Things like that.
Also one pet peeve that really bugs me. Active during WW2 yet still walking around like they are only in their 50-60s. Bring them up in time a little.
I wouldn't be okay with that. At all. I want them back in the present.

I wouldn't be okay with that. At all. I want them back in the present. You want them as golden aged heroes? Or retconed as heroes of today?

I would rather have them on another earth then as heroes of the golden age.

A good compromise would be putting them on another earth. They can even take Captain Marvel with them.
Make them the heroes of that world instead of the JLA..
while i have never been a huge fan of JSA i am happy to hear that they are being redone on Earth-2. I was originally hoping yo keep it down to 1 earth for a couple of years but as long as they better coordinate and organize whats going on where and at what point in time with minimal multi-verse cross overs then i am ok with it.
That will also allow for Powergirl to be herself and for the Supergirl we all have come to know to stay her same peppy self.
I'm curious if they will have Earth-2 Superman and Lois.
Ted Grant could have been a great Boxing champ and own a gym but wasn't wildcat superhero. Wildcat could have been his ring name.I guess you've read DC : New Frontier.
