Zoom vs Damage...about time.
I was dreading reading this because to me Liberty Belle is a dull character, but here she was really complex and has a lot of issues and I now like her. DC is on the ball.
Zoom returns and Damage is pissed and wants revenge over what he did to his face and his former team mates in the Freedom Fighters. I read that in Infinite Crisis and I cringed because Zoom and his pals were just soooo overpowering compared to the Fighters. Damage was the first to go down and it was harsh. He is scarred now and laments having to wear a mask all the time and never being able to be with a girl again. Zoom must have messed him up big time.
Damage breaks his deal with Atlanta about being banned and kidnaps Zoom and plans on killing him when Belle talks him down and Zoom takes the chance to try to kill Damage because in his mind he is not a worthy hero. Liberty Belle's speed comes back and she knocks out Zoom.
The whole backstory of Belle and Hourman was great too...I loved the book. ANd my God look at that cover...Alex Ross is the bomb.
