    Origin

Inspired by the events of Final Crisis, particularly the death of the Martian Manhunter, Hal Jordan and Oliver Queen resolve to form a more proactive League, similar to Extreme Justice and the Justice League Elite. They are simply known as Justice League, dropping the "America." They focus on justice and seeking justice, rather than responding to emergencies, as they percieved the main Justice League to do, often to a fault, being almost entirely reactive to various villains and crises.

This team planned to go after the equivalent of the FBI's most wanted list, sometimes in different countries, sometimes through time. The membership was never quite solidified, although a rough core team formed. Early in their activities they encountered a revitalized Prometheus, who caused great destruction on their watch; eventually, this team was folded into the proper Justice League of America.
