@Wattup: Loved Aparo! Nice to see I'm not the only person here old enough to remember his work.
Definite similarities in Aparo's and Breyfogle's two styles.
Really? I always thought it was the opposite. I think Aparo had a cleaner approach for "Batman" while Breyfogle had an edgier style for "Detective Comics". I gravitated to the latter's fight scenes (especially when Batman was swinging through Gotham) although Aparo always had the true 80s'/early 90s Batman look to me.
Batman Beyond will be new to me, but I'm excited to try it out.I like how DC has come out of the gate but I think next year things are going to really start coming into focus. Cant wait for JSA I hope it becomes an ongoing series and I especially hope for the return of PowerGirl with or w/out a new origin.
I really liked the Batman Beyond mini and the ongoing was pretty okay when it started, but it fell off pretty hard for me at the end... I think I'll probably end up skipping this.
While I think it is a bold move and can really be experimentation on digital publishing for major comic companies I cannot see the appeal in the Batman Beyond universe. But still an interesting idea.
Norm Breyfogle is my favorite bat-artist of ALL TIME. So I'll be there, even though I've never watched a full episode of the cartoon. I hope Breyfogle is drawing 100% in his own style, not simplifying to imitate the cel shaded look.
I was picking up Batman Beyond before the revamp, don't know if I can afford all of these new books at this stage
Was really hoping this would have happened sooner but I'm okay with waiting a little bit, already up to my ears in the new dc 52 comics lol now if only we could get another animated movie based on batman beyond :D
OMG I can't waiiit! But they for defs should have Static as a 60 something year old in their, he was the greatest in the animated show, no excuses guys, I'll have my fingers crossed..
I think one big mark of appeal here is oddly enough the nostalgia factor... initially the show was intended to bring in new people, with the future feel and creative contemporary style... now, so many of us grew up with that as piece of treasured history that it has become a callback of sorts.
It would be really great for it to act as a pull for new readers though... I talked to some kids recently who just had their first exposure to Beyond, and they were under the impression that it was a much more recent show, due to the style and general awesomeness of the story.

I was just thinking about old Static from the Justice League cartoon version of Justice League Beyond. That was the better version of JLB.
