if that's the roster (which is the original one)

the members for voting have the same age that they had at that moment?

#2 Posted by White Phantom (1760 posts) - - Show Bio

The current roster is Superman, Batman, Wonder Woman, Green Lantern, Flash, Aquaman, Martian Manhunter, Green Arrow, and Atom. Pretend you're a member and vote for a new Leaguer!

LoL. In her?

Anyways, the League could use more women, and she is excellent in both unarmed combat and the use of her powers.

He can only be there if batman isn't in that league.

That's a rule of DC for the league, no two characters with the same powers in the league at the same time.

Anyway he would still be robin and underage at this timeline

I believe it's the Legion of Superheroes that had the rule about power duplication. There is a famous(ish) cover of Superboy being rejected because his powers were too ordinary.

The premise of the Justice League was just to get the big names in.

I would go with Zatanna too and she was a part of the League in the seventies and eighties and was created four years after the League.

Quick request, when you vote for a hero and you made a different suggestion before, please note that you're changing your vote. It makes keeping track of the votes easier. And also try not to suggest two heroes at a time unless you note which one you are going with for the reasons above. Thank you.

so if the league cant have 2 guys with the same powers then whats up with the GL's!! they all seem to be interchangeable, if jordan is not there the john is there if not then kyle they all seem to be members in the league at the same time but never in the same books

They eventually stopped using that. So just ignore it, pick someone you would like to have and you think would be a good addition.

I know its pretty funny that nobody seems to be paying any attention to the fact that that rule never existed for the Justice League

I think that originallity the league didn't have a rule, but after powers became too overused (EX:Hawkman started using arrows when GA was in the league)

They made that rule

#35 Posted by dreamkileer (3 posts) - - Show Bio

Okay, we're going with the old time roster, set in that age, right?

Firestorm

and if he's not an old enough character, Dr. Fate.

In need of a new secure headquarters, the Justice League moved into an orbiting "satellite" headquarters in Justice League of America #78 (February 1970). Through this period, the membership was limited to the seven founders along with Green Arrow, Atom, Hawkman, Black Canary, Phantom Stranger, Elongated Man, and Red Tornado. The League's twelve-member limit (sometimes explained as a "no duplication of powers" policy) was conceded (in Justice League of America #161) to have been simply a charter provision about numbers, once the League had formally removed the limitation and admitted Hawkwoman and hoped to admit more members. (Indeed, through this period, several League members challenged and joked about the notion that they shared skills and talents, for example, with speed races between Superman and Flash, and Hawkman's use of archery in combat.) The policy change allowed Zatanna and Firestorm to be admitted as well.

I only mentioned it because this is supposed to be at that moment in history, I know the rule doesn't exist anymore (At least I think so)

#38 Posted by Cosmic Sentinel (3749 posts) - - Show Bio

Hmmm, my wikipedia sense is tingling.

Since I don't possess those issues and that section of wikipedia doesn't have a single reference, let alone to when their number limit was ever actually called a no power duplication policy, I'll drop the point. Wikipedia's contributer hasn't provided any proof of their claim and I have no way to disprove it. Besides the fact that Hawkwoman was admitted in #146 (according to wikipedia) which means that article is wrong about it being recinded in #161 to allow her in (or there is Hawk musical chairs going on and 161 is the first time they both want in).

Anyway, it's all very confusing and I wish no one bought it up now, since it never happened after Crisis on Infinite Earths retconned it all away.

I thought the current roster was Black Canary, Firestorm, Batman, Superman, Wonder Woman, Red Arrow, Red Tornado, Black Lightning, Hawkgirl, Green Lantern, and Vixen? Anyway I'd vote for Nightwing.

Vandal Savage pretending to be a hero. Not just pretending to be good, but with a new persona and everything. Perfection.

Y'know,Colt Python on the first page wants to see Zantana. I wanna see Santana.

But seriously, if I can't have Captain America(I refuse to listen to the "different companies" garbage), then I say Lobo. Lobo, please.

Someone liked when they killed Superman in the JL animated series lol

Colt Python proving why I don't take him seriously. And, Nighthunter, yeah it was a good plot. But Supes don't need to die for the Main Man to enter the roster. In fact, I would prefer the two on the same team, just to see them clash and for everyone to call Lobo out for the dumbass he is. I would love to see Lobo on the Justice League, and the Fantastic Four, and the Snap Crackle Pop Elves. I do not care.
