Let me just start by saying I love Geoff Johns, the guy's a great writer, and I think were all aware of the claims that he hates Batman, which I can totally see as he seems kind of useless in JL (correct me if I'm wrong though I only read the first arc). nd As much as I'd like to say Trinity war is going to be awesome, I can't help but feel he's going to turn batman into just a useless bystander, which would be okay except for that I think there could be some really awesome moments in TW if they had Batman using his plans against the other league, especially if he had a battle with Martian Manhunter (who seems to me to be the brains of the JLA). So what do you guys think will Batman hold his own against the other "heroes" or will he be downgraded into a moron in a halloween costume.

Also can anyone tell me if Johns's JL gets better after the first arc, I love Jim Lee's art and would like another reason to pick up the villians journey hardcover.

@SwampPing: After the first arc, just jump into throne of Atlantis. And it looks like Batman may become a threat in Justice League this April.

If they're smart, they'll make him look human. There's no reason he should be lasting against people like Superman.

Not sure if Trinity War will be a story for the ages, but I plan on following it. The villain's journey story has some nice moments, but overall it's a pretty average story arc. It has some ties to the first story arc, but isn't as strong quality-wise as the more recent issues in the series.

I don't appreciate the way Johns writes Bats either, but we have some kickass Batman comics right now so I keep telling myself it's not that bad.

Oh I can totally see Geoff making Batman just some moron in a halloween costume, Batman really hasn't done much other then giving orders and getting his but kick.
