Justice League of America

Team » Justice League of America appears in 177 issues.

The Justice League is said to be comprised of "The Worlds Greatest Superheroes". The current incarnation of the League bares resemblance to the original pre-Crisis Justice League of America but features updated versions of its cast of characters for the DC Universe's New 52 continuity.

Giffen's/Dematteis' BWAHAHA JLI, Grant Morrison's JLA (there's some decent stories after that run too), New Frontier and The Nail for starters.

Is McDuffie's run any good? I made another thread today inquiring about Justice League of America Vol. 2. What about Meltzer's, Wein's and Robinson's runs of that title?

I've read it (as well as Rise and Fall). God damn awful. Thought Robinson was meant to be good?

Currently reading and enjoying. Love Aquaman and Justice League (Batman mischaracterisation aside).

Current top on my must read list.

@John Valentine: is it bad that I kind of enjoyed Cry for Justice? There's something about a villain knocking a hero down to his lowest point that I really enjoy

I think the idea behind the story is a lot better than its execution.

Definitely Morrison's run. Even if you don't wanna go through the whole thing, the first arc alone is fantastic. It had the most badass Batman scene of all time.

There's also JLA: Truth and Justice by Paul Dini and Alex Ross. Instead of fighting your everyday bad guys, this story deals with the JLA fighting a disease. Really great stuff.

And both of Mark Waid's stories, Tower of Babel and Queen of Fables, are excellent as well. The latter is underrated.

If you want to a good Robinson story, you should try Starman/Shade and The Golden Age.

Oh, and I thought Identity Crisis was awesome too. Got a lot of mixed reviews from what I've seen, but it's one of my personal favorites.

Well the whole volume was good until all of the big guns left. When only Vixen,Dr. Light and others like them were left the stories were average but when Robinson stepped in it became a big disaster.Check it out and I recomment you to read it up to #37.That is the last issue I enjoyed.

The Tornado's path as good as far s origin stories go. The Lightning Saga was a bit dull....but we got Wally back so it was tolerable.

@Avenging-X-Bolt: Glad to know I'm not the only one. Not sure what it was, but I thought it was really great.

Morrison's JLA is the defining run. Everything else sucks by comparison.

Identity Crisis decent though, mind you.
