    @The Stegman: She's a good actress but she's doesn't have a strong screen presence that Diana requires. Beckinsale it just that hot chick with a light voice.

    @The Stegman: Nah, completely different type of character in both films. Diana requires strength, independence, control which would distinguish her from the men. For me when I saw Beckinsale in Underworld and Van Helsing it was just " Oh hey look, it's a hot vampire chick that cuts people's heads off" She was good, but she was nothing without the supporting cast and didn't command the screen presence.

    Honestly, I would choose someone completely random.
