Here's the link to the news. If this is true (which it may not be) what is your reactions? My main question is the Flash gonna be Wally or Barry. From the description is strikes me as Wally West.

DC and warner brothers have already decided to standardize on Hal Jordan and Barry Allen so wally can only be a supporting character in all media. Young Justice cartoon came out before the standardization decision and it was allowed to use Wally as Kid Flash instead of following the comics of Bart as Kid Flash. The 2nd season of Young Justice now has Bart as Impulse (sort of Kid Flash) and Wally has become just a supporting character.

Well it's good that MM is in it. And Reynolds playing GL is good. While the movie sucked, I though Reynolds was a great Hal. I say the Flash will be Barry, though will take several traits from Wally and make it more of an amalgamation of the two.

Sucks that Batman is in it.

And some of the ideas for MM are the same as my JL movie I'm working on.

What is up with DC? It seems like they actually hate Wally now.

@Twentyfive:They just want to simplify the franchise to make the transition to other forms of media easier. There's less backstory for Barry than there is for Wally, so they are trying to build up Barry's fanbase in every way possible. They don't want to revert Wally back to being Kid Flash because they don't want to get rid of all of his character progression, and they don't want people asking for Wally to replace Barry again. I don't think there's any hate involved. Geoff wrote Wally for years.

In other media, Flash was a mess in the past. Barry was used in the live action tv show. The cartoons had Wally as Flash. Smallville tv was using Bart as Impulse in the Justice League.

@Abigail_The_Magical_Person: To make things canon it's a 99.9 percent chance it's Barry Allen, even if thats not who you want by reading your statement! You goota think, he's not even relevant in the New 52, or should I say non existant in the New 52 and has nothing to do with Justice League Formation!

Yeah shame on you WB/DC using your most profitable character, it's almost like they *GASPS* want this film to make money. And yet you claim to like Batman, sure.

This stuff all sounds too good to be true.

Only the rumor about Darkseid is probably true. The use of Aquaman and Martian manhunter in the movie is probably fan fiction. If true, Warner Brothers should use the opportunity to show Aquaman as powerful as Superman. Martian Manhunter can be african american like in Smallville TV.
