Justice League: Doom Box Art and Release Date Revealed

Back in September we saw the announcement for the next full length animated original movie. Justice League: Doom will feature a reunion in terms of the voice cast and the Justice League is going to face a big threat.

Today, Warner Home Video has revealed the box art and release date.

The movie will be released on February 28, 2012 and feature the voices of Nathan Fillion, Tim Daly, Michael Rosenbaum and a bunch of others.

Maybe the other movies need to end with "Knight"?

I'm really pumped for this. Young Justice has really got me loving the DCAU and this animation style looks kinda similar so I can't wait!

I agree the art style looks similar to the one they use in Young Justice. Especially for Martain Manhunter

I'm on the fence with this one. I didn't particularly like JLA: Tower of Babel because of the overly elaborate plans Batman created (seemingly just so the writers could emphasis that Batman could make really elaborate plans) to defeat the League but this film seems to simplify those plans and also give a better villain aspect to the story than Tower of Babel did (really, a language scrambling device was the best they could come up with????).

I really like the way they drew cyborg in this. He looks so bad ass and its a nice touch from the usual all silver look. The black and white looks absolutely fascinating.

EDIT: Bane looks too much like the hulk, Is it Wally or Barry as Flash?, and I feel like they use the same voice actors for every villain

The team movies that they've been putting out amidst the other solo character stuff has been kind of less than great, in my opinion. I hasn't a huge fan of Crisis on Two Earths or any of the Superman/Batman stuff. This looks pretty alright though, I'll definitely watch it.

Well he's taking over Aquaman (while Hal and Barry take the roles of Kyle and Wally respectively)

I prefered the more random and original roster of the comic book version of this story... (specially since the Legion of Doom is replacing Ra's...)

I say, if they're going to make a Justice League movie...then make it a LEAGUE movie. Enough with this "core group" thing. There just aren't enough characters to make this interesting for me.

And if this is released only as a Blu-Ray/DVD combo pack...well...that's another reason for me to not buy it. I don't need multiple copies of the same movie.

Bruce Timm loves Batman. Plus the story is about Batman's plans being used against the Justice League.

As for the DC Showcase, I wonder if it's due to budgetary reasons. WB doesn't seem to be too happy with the sales of these movies.

Justice League of America

The Justice League is said to be comprised of "The Worlds Greatest Superheroes". The current incarnation of the League bares resemblance to the original pre-Crisis Justice League of America but features updated versions of its cast of characters for the DC Universe's New 52 continuity.
