This whole project screams "fail" to me. They should wait until Man of Steel finishes, and use Routh for Superman. Because at the moment, it looks like MoS and JLA would start shooting at around the same time.

And regarding Bale, I just couldn't see that version of Batman in a big sci-fi epic. He's too realistic, and as of Batman Begins, just doesn't have the same kind of resources that JLA Batman would have. With him, I just wouldn't be able to suspend my disbelief that he could realistically contribute anything.

Also, while I love the OMAC Project, I just can't see them using that as a launch point for the JLA. Not to mention, the first GL and Flash they are apparently using are John Stewart and Barry Allen. That just doesn't seem right.

In all actuality, this doesn't scream "fail" to me, it has "fake" written all over it.

They probably wanted something to appeal to everyone, even if that means messing around with the correct continuity. It's just really all about the money. Well, if this one sucks, we can all fall back on the special effects.

From what I heard so far... Warner Bros wants to use motion capture CGI so filming the real people will go by faster and avoid a possible strike and not interfere with the Batman and Superman sequels. People are projecting it to be released in 2010.

well they said that by the end of the film somebody willl die and most likely it will be barry so they can bring wally in the next movie. and Man of Steel is stoping production untill the JLA movie is out.

That's why he needs the stupid glasses. He's college age now. People are going to recognize him when he's Superman. Why hasn't Pete ever come back? Haven't they heard of re-casting? And I just watched the last episode of the last season. Uhm...cheesey.

ahh yes Bizarro in Smallville...

yeah, i had a talk about this already in my Smallville Spoiler thread...

along with the Smallville cast gaining a new member for the next season, Supergirl...

along with Helen Slater (the movie Supergirl) playing Lara (Supergirl's mother, Kal-El's aunt... yeah, that got confusing because Kal-El's mom was called Lara as well...)

i've seen the script and it actually looks quite good...

I just worry about the show. Seems kinda...hokey lately. I don't like Lana and Jimmy being on. And I hate that Clark HAS NO GLASSES.

she's supposed to be there lol

Lois on the other hand shouldn't, neither should Jimmy...

they should both still be in metropolis and Clark shouldn't meet them until after 'The Odyssey'

The problem with Jimmy being on is that it makes him and Clark about the same age. That makes it weird that Clark and Lois would be his superiors at the Daily Planet and that Jimmy would be running around for them as he would actually have been there longer than either of them (since he works there already and they don't, Clark isn't even a journalist yet).

That trailer looks pretty cool. Hopefully we'll get some cape action this season.

I heard it was in Bale's contract to do any spin off of Batman in the next 5 years, which may include JLA. As for a CG movie, or any DC movie, I wouldn't hold my breath. DC/Warner bros are horrible at starting and finishing these projects. You have no idea how lucky you are to have the new Batman series on the big screen.

ign.com did their dream cast for JLA, it was a fun read. I love the idea of Kate Beckinsale as Wonder Woman, Clive Owen as Hal sounds kind of interesting... and Ryan Reynolds would be an awesome Flash (They need to make a Deadpool movie with Ryan Reynolds as Deadpool!)
