Yeah - I think when you look at the "normal" Avengers roster compared to the "normal" JL rosters - JL just seems like the bigger power-house, making Thanos a slightly less opposing force. I mean basically I guess I see it as the same as JL vs Darkseid - which one way or another they will always win (unless it's Earth-2 I guess.....) only slightly easier. In saying that though I didn't read the recent Infinity story so I don't really know....

I kind of agree with you. though, imo, it should take the JL and a few new gods of new genesis to beat Darkseid.

We'll I think they could do it but only after one hell of a fight leavening Supes as bloody wreak. Because out of all the New 52 JL members I think Supes is the only one close enough to match thanos. Yes I know WW and Aquadude are there and they would be very very useful in the fight I'm just saying that out the 3 of them Supes has a better chance of holding Thanos at bay.

Yes I read the end of Infinity and Thanos swatted away Hulk, but Hulk wasn't "knocked flat". He was up and running again fairly quickly. Yes Thanos did tank a full lightning blast from Thor. The truth is we never really got to see a prolonged battle in that story between Thanos and a top tier hero for one reason or another, they were all just brief exchanges where Thanos showed his immense durability.

I think it would be a good battle, the JL team I was thinking of was Superman, Batman, WW, Flash, Green Lantern, Aquaman and MM. I also agree that it could end up being Superman v Thanos, just like Hunter Prey was Superman v Doomsday...

I thought Thanos was stronger than Darkseid? Unless you count BFR, JL didn't win against Darkseid. In fact, they were getting their butts handed to them. Superman was just strong enough to send him through Cyborg's portal.

So, if Infinity is as strong as New 52 DS or even stronger, then Thanos would stomp the Justice League.

Well the barely formed New 52 JL managed to beat off Darkseid, who has no trouble with conquering other worlds with Superman on them. So I think they will do just fine against Thanos.

Please, Superman, Wonder Woman & Green Lantern, could hold him off ( not beat him, but still put up a great fight ) then you add The Flash & Aquaman and bye bye thanos.

And if we take all the members from all 3 JL's well...overkill would be the appropriate word.
