What happens when' Blackest Night' meets the 'Justice League'?

Thanks to the folks over at DC, we got our first look at what happens when the Blackest Night grip extends it's reach to the Justice League. Have you guys been following the Justice League of America series written by James Robinson? What do you think of the series? Do you like Mark Bagley's art?

The book will be released this Wednesday, December 16th, 2009. Are you looking forward to the release of the upcoming title?

Blackest night - unlike Final Crisis - is clearly an event that is going to effect the whole DC line. where it is leading overall, I don't know, but I understand that the JLA membership will look somewhat different once the story arc is over. Robinson is a solid and reliable writer without being particularly spectacular (yet) on the League. Not too impressed thus far with Bagley's art - his angular lines don't quite have the attraction or effect they are meant to IMO.

The BL with the bow-tie is Z's Daddy

Does anyone else think that the "Memory Download: Complete" things in each issue are kind of hokey? They help to understand who the characters are, but I might just prefer they print the mini-comics they have on the DC Website, or  something to that effect. The issue's already $3.99 for no apparent reason.

@crazed h3ro: Oh, John Henry is fine I think. He's been in 52 and is a major Superman supporting character.

not everyone can get online to read those. BN is designed for non-readers to be able to jump in at issue one and essentially catch up on the stories of half the DCU. There are tons of people who don't read religiously, or haven't read older stories, so those bios help with both.
