In my opinion, these characters would make for the single most Justice League book ever written, plus they'd be pretty tough to beat. I know it seems strange having Green Arrow in the leadership role, but I really think he'd do a good job at it. He's smart, versatile, good with people, quick to react, etc. Plus, having the only member of the team without powers (barring Mister Terrific, who doesn't usually accompany them on missions) be the leader certainly appeals to me.

Martian Manhunter (J'onn's telepathic link would help keep the team in contact without comlinks, plus he adds muscle and intelligence and stealth)

Cyborg (Vic is hardware, but I want him to not just feel like he can port the JLA in with Boom Tubes and stuff. I want him to also use his brains to help the team)

Green Arrow (another irritant, as well as one of the best archers in the DCU)

Dr. Light (Kimi, long range attacks as well as speed and intelligence)

The Atom (Ryan or Ray, both add stealth and brains naturally)

Power Girl (Another powerhouse on par with Clark, J'onn, and Diana)

Zatanna (Zee is a master magician and a link to the occult)

Element Woman (Emily works just like Rex, as well as adding another female presence to the JLA)

Vixen (Many diverse abilities with Mari's link to the morphogenic field of Earth and all the animals available)

Plastic Man (he can stretch, but Eel's know-how on the criminal element in addition to his shapeshifting can help)

Vibe (Paco is an untapped source of potential and his sonics would help a lot for long distance as well as his being a representative of the little guy like Ollie)

Black Canary (Another leader, plus Dinah has her Canary Cry to aid the League)

Hawkman (Carter's a tank. And he also takes no BS from anyone!)

Hawkgirl (Shiera also is a skilled weapons expert and tank, but she also has more to add to the League along with Carter)

Basically the Justice League Heroes roster which worked so far.

As a fan of alternate realities, I would like to see a JLAlternate tackle various continuity issues with DC's various reboots, retcons, and revamps:

Superman Blue: The electrical powered Superman adds firepower, while eliminating the Kryptonite/invulnerable angle. This also gives him the opportunity to explore life in a more human way.

Year One Batman: While most expect a capable and confident Dark Knight, this glove-wearing and gun-toting Batman is just learning the ropes. Though he adds youth, the team must contend with a more inexperienced Bruce Wayne.

Wonder Woman Odyssey: Stripped of the excess continuity, we are left with a capable fighter and Amazon Warrior coming into her own. This Diana is the team powerhouse, stepping into the role often held by Superman.

Green Lantern Abin Sur: Still wielding the ring, Abin is the very alien presence on the team. However, his confidence, experience, and power might be just what this crew needs.

Dark Flash: The more violent Walter West takes over as speedster and resident hothead, willing to fight dirty in order to secure victory. Having lost the joking persona for a more deadly serious attitude, he can make the other uncomfortable.

Waterbearer Aquaman: Though most see Aquaman as solely a water-based hero, his possession of the mystical wand hand gave him excess abilities that were never truly explored. As the mystical teammate, Arthur is reconciling his new powers with a possible leadership position.

Hourman 1,000,000: The android Hourman provides the travel expertise as well as the robotic separation needed to help complete the mission. His insights into DC history provide the compass for the group.

Thanks to the timestream machinations of DC editorial, the JLAlternate are sent to help put things back on course. They find themselves at odds with the mysterious Black Beetle, the Crime Syndicate, and various incarnations of DC heroes, villains, and cast members.

While it may never happen, my Heroclix can help me write plotlines...

@blindfaith311 Almost to me sounds like your idea would be something similar to whjat Marvel's done in the pages of Exiles, man. XD I like the concept of it and the fact you also could go round robin on the roster to diversify it beyond your current team and such. =)

This is actually a much fresher team and one that I'd light to see the dynamics of, though having Nightwing instead of Batman may just been out of spite. lolol Also, if they hadn't changed Dick's age by such a significant amount, I would say he would have the skills to run this team.

I like wordchallenge's roster. I'd probably swap either Guy or Hal for Kyle, not that I have anything against Kyle. Hal has the most experience, and I think you need some conflict and humor, and Guy supplies both of those. I'd also swap Wally for Barry. I find Wally more interesting than Barry. I might also want to add Green Arrow, but I don't think I'd add him at the expense of removing one of wordchallenge's current members. Ollie's powers aren't really needed, but he does supply a social conscience and a different perspective to the team. That almost makes me want to add Black Canary...nah.
