I can't recall him actually DOing anything.

I mean heck, Green Arrow Junior saved the universe twice. Orion demoralized Superman and nearly blew the plot against the guys who were going to invade Rann.

I only remember reading Orion in Morrison's run. Where he...didn't really do anything notable beyond blasting crap. Then again he was charged with Highfather-at-the-time to protect the Earth alongside Barda for the coming of Mageddon. I guess that was his contribution. At least for Morrison's run.

He didn't do much from what I remember but when those stories were fresh I didn't have a care in the world what people on the roster did or didn't do because those characters were freaking AWESOME to me. :P

@arturocalakayvee: I thought he "jobbed" too much. Just IMO. It'd have been cool if he'd y'know, saved the day at least once.

I'm gonna have to go back and reread the stories (not that I have a problem with that, they're timeless) but I could see Orion being a jobber. He was strong enough to take the job and be able to come back from it.

@arturocalakayvee: He managed to hurt Starro, but they ended up defeating Starro without his help. Also, it was kinda cool that he'd light himself on fire to fight a pale Martian, but again, did it matter in the long run?

Now that you mention, nothing he did really seemed to matter. Wow, that's funny. I guess Grant wanted a "punching bag?"
