Let me start off this short review by saying, I love the way the new lineup of the Justice League is shaping up! Past members of the Titans deserve the status that being a Leaguer represents and I expect nothing but greatness from Cyborg, Donna, Batman (Dick Grayson), and Starfire. I'm also happy that Dr. Light is remaining with the team, but I can't wait till Kimi finds her backbone again and becomes the b*tch of the team (it's so much fun!). Unfortunately because of recent events in Justice League: Cry For Justice, Vixen takes an (extended?) leave of absence. I hope we see Mari soon, as she's been on of the main characters to have grown in this particular JLA series. As for the rest of the issue, it's more of a recon of Blackest Night and the before mentioned mini-series, and we're given the traumatic aftermath with the heroes that were involved. Other plot devices are introduced, but nothing that held my attention. I was most disappointed with the art by Bagley. Something needs to be done to tighten the pencils of this normally fantastic artist and I was very upset to see that he completely ignored the minor, but important details of (my favorite Titan and League member) Donna Troy's uniform. Hopefully we'll see a vast improvement in the near future or else it'll be time for DC to find a new penciller. This was an above average issue for the proper use of the Titans, but beyond that, there's nothing more to report other than I look forward to more Titans action.

This issue begins with Vixen resigning. Then, we see Donna Troy in a hospital, fighting thugs who have kidnapped children.
She then says she doesn't want this life.... Until Diana convinces her to be part of the JLA. The rest of the issue is basically how they gather the next team members. The final roaster? Donna Troy, Red Tornado, Batman, Doctor Light, Cyborg, Starfire, Mon-El, The Atom, The Ray, Green Lantern, Green Arrow and Congorilla.

The Artwork was Awesome and the characters were respected:

-Vixen being headstrong and doubtfull about the League
-Dr Light being doubtfull until Donna convinces her
-Donna not wanting this anymore until Diana convinces her to get on the league
-Dick playful and smart
-Kory & Vic willing to do good
-Ollie bringing his frustration on fighting "solo" against supervillains, giving up food & rest

I overall loved this issue and advise you to purchase it... while it's still on the stands!
I loved it so much, I think I'm going to buy it a 2nd time JUST for Cover B!!

JLA or New Teen Titans? Reviewed by JHags on Feb. 6, 2010. JHags has written 16 reviews. His/her last review was for The Sound of Silence. 85 out of 97 users recommend his reviews. 3 out of 3 users found this review helpful.
The Justice League of America (JLA) boasts the sub-title of "World's Greatest Heroes." Lately, though, the JLA has seen better days. Tie-in events of Blackest Night, Cry for Justice, and Final Crisis have left the League dismantled, losing several members to death, dismemberment and mental health issues. Issue #41 finds the JLA hurting, seeking meaning and rebuilding itself.

James Robinson and Mark Bagley continue their run with issue #41, telling tales of a League worn down by trials and loss. A physically broken Vixen laments her role in letting Prometheus escape without punishment following the events of Cry for Justice and decides to leave the team. One problem - Cry for Justice has not yet been concluded. Zatanna, Gypsy, and Plastic Man are out as well, tending to wounds both mental and physical. Red Tornado is still active, but lies on a table literally in pieces following his run-in with Black Lanterns, Vibe and Steel (see issues 39 and 40). This leaves a disheartened Dr. Light as the sole remaining, semi-functional member of the League.

The rebuilding begins with Donna Troy. A visit from Wonder Woman prompts Donna to engage in a few recruiting trips and soon after, Starfire, Cyborg, and Dick Grayson's Batman (with tag-along Robin, aka Damian Wayne) join the roster. The team expands, adding Guardian, Mon El, Green Lantern and Green Arrow.

For me, #41 feels a bit rushed. During the past few months, the League has lost several key members, split into two teams, and seen each character enter some pretty dark territory. Reconstructing the "World's Greatest Heroes" in one issue with grown-up Teen Titans feels too simplistic.

On the flip-side, it is nice to see the new Batman involved with the League. With his addition, Dick Grayson becomes one of the most experienced and well-respected heroes on the team, along with original Leaguers, Green Lantern and Green Arrow. The inclusion of a rage-filled, bloodthirsty Green Arrow seems destined for nothing but trouble - and really good, emotion-rich storytelling!

I have always been a fan of the Justice League, but #41 leaves me with that hang-in-there feeling one gets when watching a favorite sports team enter a rebuilding season. I am intrigued by the inclusion of Batman, Green Lantern and Green Arrow. However, it is like having a few varsity players on a JV squad. I am still a fan, but am waiting to see how this "rebuilding season" plays out.

Story:Donna Trroy is gathering a new team of JLA.
The Good:Every character in this issue was really like he has to be.He isn't out of character and this is a good plus for this issue and the writing of James Robinson. He made some bad issues but now even with the new Justice Titans of America, this is a good start for them.We feel the suffering of Donna Troy in this and I can say that it isn't slightly for her.
Mark Bagley is making really good designs on the characters and amazing action scenes.I would really like to see the fighting scenes of the new JLA and the work of Bagley in the future.
The Bad:Vixen as always in the begining of the issue is talking how there shouldn't be a JLA and why are they're continuing and this is really annoying and really is making stop reading the issue.
There is a little problem with the team for now.Half of the team is from the Teen Titans and have been there.
Overall:There is no team history in this but let's hope that in the second issue will have a little.
