“REPRISE.” Black Canary is hospitalized after she and Green Arrow are defeated in a battle against the Star-Tsar.

    Reprise

The Green Arrow has resigned from the Justice League of America. The weight of his decision weighing heavily upon him, the Green Arrow almost doesn't notice a gang of car thieves. While the Green Arrow subdues the car thieves, Felix Faust walks by unnoticed. The Green Arrow is drawn to the satellite headquarters of the Justice League of America, by the Green Lantern. The Justice League of America demands the Green Arrow explain the motivations behind his resignation from the team. The Green Arrow refuses, but when he tries to leave, he finds the transporter no longer works for him.

Felix Faust, now reformed, works at the Star City Library. Felix Faust discovers the secret journal of the sorcerer, Nostromus. Upon touching the book, Felix Faust is possessed by Nostromus' spirit. The Black Canary attempts to reason with the Green Arrow. A psychic image of Felix Faust appears before the Justice League of America. Felix Faust pleads with the Justice League of America to stop him, before he can resurrect Nostromus. The Green Lantern tracks Felix Faust to the Alps. The Justice League of America head out to confront Felix Faust.

The Black Canary convinces the Green Arrow to come with them. As the Justice League of America close in on Felix Faust, the Green Lantern, Superman, and Zatanna, are struck down by a fire elemental. The Hawkman rescues his comrades, only to be cut down by the fire elemental. The Batman extinguishes the fire elemental, only to be struck down by a mystic ward, protecting the entryway to an old mausoleum. Felix Faust, tears streaming from his eyes, recites the incantation which will resurrect Nostromus. The Green Arrow fires an incendiary arrow into the secret journal of Nostromus, destroying it.

Nostromus' corpse disintegrates, while his spirit is driven out of Felix Faust. Superman commends the Green Arrow, while inviting him back into the ranks of the Jusitce League of America. The Green Arrow declines. His resignation is final. The Black Canary refuses to leave the Justice League of America. The Green Arrow departs alone, possibly ending his long romantic relationship with the Black Canary.

    The Sun Queen Snatch!

Ralph and Sue Dibny are on a cruise, with Carter and Shiera Hall. Ralph's attention is drawn to the beautiful Olivia Saint-Dobbins, daughter of the cruise ship's owner. At dinner, Ralph, eavesdropping, overhears Saint-Dobbins arguing with her father. Seeing Saint-Dobbins angrily depart, in the company of two suspicious characters, Ralph investigates, as the Elongated Man.

Eavesdropping again, the Elongated Man overhears the men discuss a plan to abduct Saint-Dobbins. The Elongated Man goes into action, accidentally attacking the ship's captain by mistake. The Elongated Man searches the entire ship for the would-be kidnappers. The Elongated Man follows the kidnappers, as they usher Saint-Dobbins to a helicopter, in the ship's hold.

The helicopter lifts off, with the Elongated Man, surreptitiously, tagging along. Spying the Elongated Man dangling from the helicopter, Carter races to don his Hawkman costume. The Elongated Man crashes the helicopter into the ocean, then rescues Saint-Dobbins, and her abductors. Saint-Dobbins confesses that the entire scheme was her idea, to extort money from her father. By the time Carter, as the Hawkman, is able to join the case, the Elongated Man has already closed it, and returned to his vacation.
