The JLA battles an attacking Shaggy Man.
Though incarcerated, Hector Hammond telepathically travels the world. Hammond eavesdrops on the latest meeting of the Justice League of America. Hammond scans the Justice League of America's library, in search of a foe who can destroy them. Hammond selects the nigh-unstoppable Shaggy Man. After releasing the Shaggy Man from it's imprisonment, Hammond uses his mental powers to teleport the Shaggy Man to the Justice League of America's satellite headquarters.
After the meeting, the Justice League of America split up to clean the satellite. Aquaman, and the Black Canary, pair off in the trophy room. Aquaman is giving the Black Canary a tour of the Justice League of America's trophy room, when he comes across the Shaggy Man. Aquaman realizes, too late, that the Shaggy Man is not a statue, but the real thing. Aquaman, and the Black Canary, fight a desperate battle against the Shaggy Man. The Black Canary blasts the Shaggy Man, with one of the Key's radiation rods, to no avail.
Aquaman targets the Shaggy Man with one of Doctor Light's weapons. Fearing that Aquaman will triumph, Hammond telekinetically strikes Kanjar Ro's Gamma Gong, rendering Aquaman, and the Black Canary, unconscious. Hammond telepathically guides the Shaggy Man to another part of the satellite, where it confronts the Batman, and the Atom. The Shaggy Man easily overpowers the Batman, and the Atom. Hammond telepathically guides the Shaggy Man to another part of the satellite, where it confronts the Green Arrow, and the Hawkman.
The Green Arrow's explosive arrow destroys the Shaggy Man, but the force of the blast also fells the Green Arrow, and the Hawkman. The Shaggy Man re-assembles itself. Hammond telepathically guides the Shaggy Man to another part of the satellite, where it confronts the Flash. The Flash manages to momentarily imprison the Shaggy Man, but the exertion leaves him exhausted. The Flash collapses, realizing, too late, that the life support systems have been compromised.
Hammond determines that the blast from the Green Arrow's explosive arrow damaged the life support systems. The Shaggy Man punches through the satellite's hull, to attack Superman. The satellite begins to fall out of orbit. Superman cannot fight his way past the Shaggy Man to save the satellite. Hammond cannot stop the satellite's descent. At the last moment, as the satellite plummets towards the population center of a major city, the Green Lantern arrives to save the day.
The Green Lantern returns the satellite to orbit, then gathers the Justice League of America, to join Superman in the fight against the Shaggy Man. The Shaggy Man grabs the Black Canary, and scales a building. The Green Lantern rescues the Black Canary, then confronts the Shaggy Man, alone. The Green Lantern, exerting the full measure of his will into his power ring, reduces the Shaggy Man to diminutive size, and encases him in a power ring generated bottle. Hammond stews in his prison cell. His bid to revenge himself on the Green Lantern a failure.
