Many of the series in the new 52 thus far have chosen a path whereby they launch right into the second story arc after the first one, but this formula is not followed here. Generally speaking some character development issues which examine the characters themselves instead of their actions are sometimes the perfect fit in a series, but by placing this here after the first story arc feels like too much too soon. The heroes either discuss or gripe about how the team is going and three of them end up making their case to the United Nations. It is not that anything bad happened per se, just there was conversely not a lot to grab on to here either. I have thus far been somewhat enjoying the development of Godiva, from second strong character to A-list but her development here even seems forced and unnatural. This neither bodes well or poorly for the series, it is simply out of place.
