Plot Summary
12 heroes and villains were resurrected during Blackest Night, and now they find out their purpose for returning to life in Brightest Day. Each of the 12 resurrected have a task that they must do. Aquaman, Martian Manhunter, Firestorm, Hawkman, Hawkgirl, Deadman, Jade, Osiris, Hawk, Captain Boomerang and Zoom must fulfil their purposes. Meanwhile, in Silver City, New Mexico a White Power Battery appeared, and no one seems able to lift it.
Deadman is the only of the 12 resurrected that has a White Lantern Ring, he had brought a baby bird back to life. Hawk thinks that Boston will be able to bring his brother, Don Hall, back to life. But Don remains at peace. His task is to embrace life and find the one who will replace the white entity. Boston and Dawn leave to begin searching for the one who will wield the white light. He tries everyone from Resurrection Man to Batman, and he ends up getting a lesson on wanting to live.
Ronnie and Jason can't seem to get along and the Firestorm matrix is very unstable. Firestorm's task is to stop Deathstorm from destroying the white entity. The Atom and Professor Stein discover that if Ronnie and Jason keep arguing they could cause an explosion that could destroy the universe. Black Lantern Firestorm, Deathstorm, returns and kidnaps Professor Stein and Jason's dad, Alvin Rusch. Ronnie and Jason start arguing and then... nothing, everything is black... have they just destroyed the universe?
Aquaman has to save the new Aqualad from Black Manta and prevent a war between the rebel Atlantean colony Xebel and the surface world.
Recently the ring has begun to charge when Boston visited his Grandpa and gave his Grandpa a motorcycle ride.
