    "...Keep Walking...Into The Madness..."

    Synopsis

The final confrontation with Enchantress! What is to be June Moone's fate?

    The Good

Before I get onto the bulk of the issue, I just loved the quick cameos of some of the other characters inhabiting the "Dark" and "Edge" facets of the DC Universe. It may of been quick, but its nice to see this global madness caused by Enchantress affecting some other superpowered folk. I tell you, that Sphinx looked quite scary!

This issue also presented an interesting dynamic - do something horrifically cruel to a certain character to save the world or letting love prevail? That's what keeps two of the Justice League Dark at each other's throats. It was nice to see something prominent in issue #1 become a major plot element in this issue as well.

Aside from the aforementioned conflict, the rest of team are actually working together (huzzah!), helping each other getting through their internal weaknesses during that hallucinogenic scene. Kudos to Mikel Janin for his heavy dosing of the unnatural magic storms that are ever prevalent in this story arc. You as the reader can really feel the claustrophobic nature of the storm as it swirls around our so-called heroes.

On a quick note, I really like how Mindwarp is illustrated in his alternate form. The sheer electric aura of this presence is a great touch!

    The Bad

I know love can make a (Dead)man do silly things, but the depth of his dedication to June Moone overriding the need to save the world as we know it? I thought it was a tad over the top,but considering it's a subplot that's been building up for a while now I can get over that I suppose.

    Conclusion

A fitting end to this series' first story arc, despite my personal opinion that it shouldn't of stretched out this long. This series is slowly but surely getting better!

Synopsis: The team finally goes up against Enchantress. What's Good? One thing to note about this issue is how Enchantress is effecting the DC universe. Like with the Justice League cameo in the first issue, some heroes from other series make a small appearance in this issue dealing with Enchantress' magic. The group finally comes together (minus a two people) and they do show that together, they can be a team. And while this "team" saved the world, they got a long way before they actually become ...

Wrapping up the first story arc in the series, the issues mostly succeeds here where it has failed top previously.  Surprisingly at this point the series is still stuck in a sort of up and down pattern with this issue being a relatively decent one followed by a weaker one.  The action here is pretty decent though as with magic and such powerful players, a lot of the actual action is more internalized for the characters than an actual threat.  The showdown between Constantine and Boston was prett...
