The Good:

If you have been following Justice League Dark then you know how awesome this series has been. If you have never read this series then this is a great foray into its awesomeness. The art and writing is superb as ever. In this story we learn how Zatanna and Constantine first met and trained together in magic and eventually have a relationship. We also meet a new character Nick Necro who is their teacher and who will play a part in the current storyline. The story is narrated by Constantine and we get a great insight into the character through this inter dialogue. We learn how Constantine got his trade mark trench coat and this story also hints that Constantine may not be totally virturous. This issue has got me totally pumped for future issues.

The Bad:

This is more of a pet peeve i have had with the series since the end of the first storyline and that is that i feel like i'm reading Constantine and his Amazing Friends. Don't get me wrong, this is a great series i just wish it would be more even with the usage of the characters (poor Deadman).

All in all this is my third favorite zero book after Sword of Sorcery and Aquaman, and highly recommend it.

With all the nice things getting said about this series since Jeff Lemire took over writing duties since issue 9, combined with the release of the new Constantine series, I decided to get the back issues of this, and boy am I happy I have. THE GOOD: The art is done by Lee Garbett and it looks stunning. He makes the characters look younger and also makes them look like they are really invested into the story. The facial expressions are strong and the backgrounds make you feel like these characters are in a real world and this is happening.
