    Surprisingly Well Done

Ok, let me begin that I have not read the basis of the Crisis Comics.  Yes, I know what happens but I haven't read it in its entirety so I didn't have that to flavor my watching of this movie.  So, what did I think?

I liked it.  That's the short version.  But I'm going to start with what I didn't like, what I enjoyed so much in the Superman/Batman movie that they seemed to shy away from here.

Now, I like a good story, but one of the reasons I watch Animated Movies such as this is the action.  Justice League captured a great deal of the action AND told the story and that's what this movie did...towards the end.  Near the beginning, it seemed they shied away from the combats, Superman vs Ultraman, Wonder Woman vs Superwoman...yada yada...

It just seemed like they "didn't want to go there."  I was distracted by that for some reason.

And the good.  Same thing.  I loved Batman bringing in help in the Watch Tower.  I loved the end fight sequences, especially when it gets to Wonder Woman vs Superwoman where the animation becomes amazing as well as the Flash fight.  In all, I didn't find any flaws in the entire animation process so I wasn't sitting there wondering why something looked funny the whole time only to miss a plot point.

And all the "Evil Marvels" showing up was just an awesome bonus!

As for the story, I enjoyed it.  It was a nice story to enjoy, not too many plot points where you get lost trying to figure out what just happened but plenty going on so that you didn't feel spoon fed.  All in all, at the end, I felt satisfied, had enjoyed myself and didn't feel like stomping out of the room, too often the case with a lot of the recent animation and Live Action movies.

Was it the best I've ever seen?  No, but it was pretty darned good.  Was it the worst?  Obviously not.  I'm going with a 4.25 out of 5.  Except for some odd dragging at the beginning that I cant put my finger on, it was just a plain old good time.  That simple.

      My Thoughts 0

I will admit that I have not read many comics in my lifetime. I've never had the opportunity to read the stories this movie is based off of. But in a way that doesn't matter, I think this movie had a smooth enough plot so even I could understand.  The Bad As everyone I was disappointed at William Baldwin's voice of Batman. Everyone else had a good voice actor who fit them but Baldwin wasn't really the one to be Batman.  I also felt Lex Luthor's design was lacking. It was an alright look but I wo...
