A rocky start to the next story arc

This comic is like that
It lacks the high action that it had in the first issues. Personally, JLI is a more entertaining read than this one if all the chapters have this, despite Batman's muttering
The spore character is a bit.....well he's not really the kind of villain the JL is supposed to fight. A solo hero could have handled him, and his sort of science based form means that even two of the cancelled guys; Mr. Terrific and Static, could have taken him alone.
But......
The issue itself was as satisfactory as the Static comics I like, and I mean the more stomachable volumes...or Blue Beetle. I hope personally they can be pulled from this rut before it starts.
On another note, it would appear the Shazam story has a new take on itself...wonder how that will go? Also, any one here the Orb of Ra? I sense Metamorpho or Element Woman
