    JLA Fail to deliver

It's been awhile since i have done a review so bare with me here!

    The good:

As with previous issues there was more then enough action, mixed in with devlopment. We get an understanding of how regarded the JLA are and what the people think of them. We also get to see things from the eyes of their handler and how much leverage the JLA have. Bar that I don't have much more good to say about the issue, the art was pretty average in my eyes but it was not awful.

    The Bad:

The characters don't seem any different from the origin story, Hals still a douche, Wally's still playing devils advocate. Batman is still trying to pull the team into something that works. Wonder Woman is more just about Battles...Auqaman cracked a joke...... Superman punched things. We seem to have no devlopment what so ever!! I did not go into this issue expecting much, but given Johns runs with most of these characters I half expected to see some devlopment, I am not sure what he is doing with Batman. I half get the feeling that with all the hype the normal people in the DCU are giving the JLA it's going to end up with a classic tale of the world turns against them story arch. The art compared to Jim Lee is a big step down in my eyes, but thats just personal choice. This issue is not unreadable by any messure but it does not mean you should go out of your way to read it. fingers crossed that issue 8 has more to offer.

Sigh. Look, it's better than the Green Lantern banner because I get the point of this one. It's not hyping a movie that didn't need extra hype, and its for a good cause. But it doesn't change the fact that the "We Can Be Heroes" banner is a huge detriment to the covers its on. It especially isn't helping this cover, which is a crowded mess to begin with. Everyone is shoved into the same space along the middle of the cover, with meshing colors so I can barely tell anyone apart. Then the backgroun...

Style over any substance from Johns 0

The Justice League is now brought to the present and we have guest artist Gene Ha step in for Jim Lee.The Good:With the team now established and everything brought into the present, that means less time introducing each character and a little more time on story development. We have a little bit of both in this issue with the introduction of a new villain posing a minor threat and a focus on Steve Trevor this time around. The new focus on Trevor is a refreshing one and his "relationship" with Dia...
