Like
several other "2000AD" related comics, this one has changed publishers
and therefore names several times before it concluded. It began as Judge Dredd and
lasted for thirty-three issues under the Eagle Comics imprint, than
moved to Quality Comics for issues thirty-four and thirty-five (Judge Dredd). After that, Quality Comics restarted the series (Judge Dredd) with issue one that continued up until issue seven when it was sold to Fleetway who published the series (Judge Dredd)
from issues eight to sixty-one. The series finally came to a conclusion
with issues sixty-two through seventy-seven under the title Judge Dredd Classics, also published by Fleetway.
