Jubilee is a favorite character of mine in the X-men,so when I found out she became a vampire,I was infuriated.First she lost her powers and then this? The reason I hate it is because the whole vampire crap has been overused in the last two years due to....*hiss*Twilight*.Now reading Curse of the mutant I was happy to know they brought back traditional vampires save for the technological advances, and the idea of different sects was good, but now I'm getting off point.Anyways,it seemed like Jubilee gave in to easily, then again it could just be because of the synthetic infections potency.I know for sure that they will turn her back eventually, and we all know that she is going to get her powers back,or at least this vampire. But it is good to know that even the most happy and peppiest characters can be turned towards the dark.In the new  Wolverine/Jubilee Mini series it's a role reversal, where Logan has to help Jubilee with her dark urges this time, and I feel that this will bring about both a better understanding and an even closer bond.If they do cure her,let us hope that she won't always be happy go lucky, because now that she has had these dark experiences as a vampire, they are sure to haunt her....that and the fact that she turned the closest person she had to a father into a vampire, that is sure to affect her later on in the future.

I think it would be cool if Wolverine pulled her into Uncanny X-Force, but he is trying to make her less of a killer, so that probably wont happen

I think it is far better for Jubilee to be a power up vampire rather than a depowered mutant.  I would  definitely say she is more powerful now than when she had her mutant power. At the start of the "Curse of the Mutants" arc she was all mopey and depressed.  Now she is kick ass.

If they cure her by splicing in Wolverine's DNA and bring her back to life with the healing factor would she loose her vampire strength and speed?

I think Jubilee would retain her super strength and speed... since as of issue #1, she doesn't have any of her vampire urges or vulnerabilities to sunlight... yet she was still able to leg press Rockslide and chase Pixie.

I think there are a few possibilities with this series and Jubilee's future in general:

    1) Jubilee accepts being a vampire and stays on the X-Men as an ally... fighting against her dark nature.
    2) Jubilee continues to undergo treatments with Wolverine's blood... she becomes more peaceful and true to herself, while retaining the superpowers associated with being a vampirism. She stays on the X-Men.
    3) Jubilee's treatment with Logan's blood causes a positive mutation in her... which she would not need anymore blood transfusions from Logan. This would allow her to keep her good vampire abilities and also have a healing factor that fights off her vulnerability to sunlight, etc. She stays on the X-Men.
    4) The treatment causes Jubilee to become human and back to being powerless... in the long run, it is better than feeling guilty of being a vampire.
    5) Jubilee dies or decides to have Logan or one of her loved ones end her misery as a vampire.
    6) The blood treatment somehow cures Jubilee and gives her back her old mutant powers.

I would say that of all of the options, #s 2 and 3 are the most possible outcomes. #1 could happen, but we really don't need to have her as a brooding dark character who fights off the evil in every issue. I'd be fine with #s 4 and 6... but it doesn't seem like the direction Marvel wants her to go in. #5 has the smallest possibility, especially since issue #1 sold out at diamond and is on the second printing. Marvel realizes Jubilee is a very popular character.

Those are all good points intensity, and your all right there is a lot of possibility with Jubilee, now that she has become a vampire.
I think a possible way of curing Jubilee is if their somehow able to give her a healing factor,if not for a few minutes. That would be all the time she needs for it cure her like it did with Logan, and with your suggestion for #3 That is a possibility and I like the thought of it. As for #2 we have to remember that some of the X-men members don't feel safe around Jubilee,so there might be a chance where she doesn't join

Intensity has some good points, but I have a few minor issues.

First, Jubilee still has the venerabilty to sunlight.  By consuming Wolverine's blood, the healing factor allows her "to catch a few weak rays".   That does not preclude her from using one of Xarus's "game changing" devices that bends the harmful light waves away from a vampire and allows them to day walk.

Wolverine's healing factor cannot "heal" Jubilee's mutation, because when the Scarlet Witch caused the Decimation she did not deactivate the x gene, she removed it. Those mutants that lost their powers no longer have the x gene. There is nothing to heal, because the gene is not there.

I could see Jubilee on the X Factor team, where Wolverine can keep an eye on her, and she can take advantage of her new vampire abilities.  Jubilee has always been a popular character in the mutant family, and i think people will like have her back and powered up as a kick ass, seventeen year old, vampire warrior.

I like her as a vampire, and if her vampiric/mutant physiology can give her the best of both worlds, where she can keep her vampiric speed, strength and reaction time, and through some manipulation of her mutant genome gain some protection from her vulnerabilities as a vampire I think that would be cool.

As a huge Jubilee fan I was excited she returned.  I was actually even more excited that she's a vampire.  I know, I'm strange.  I think this is because since Mutant X was done I've missed seeing Bloodstorm as a regular character, and while Jubilee is no Ororo, seeing a beloved character adapt to the change was interesting to read.  So I'm sort of hoping for another Hank McCoy cocktail that let's the vampire person remove the blood thirst and vulnerability to sunlight, while retaining the other strengths.  It would be nice to see Jubilee take on a more powerful role while still keeping to the core of her character.  Another reason I actually liked her run as Wondra.

Hate to dig up a somewhat old topic but I'd like to voice my opinion. I'd rather see Jubilee get her old mutant powers back but still remain a vampire. I mean, think about it. A vampire that can also shoot fireworks. Who wouldn't want to read that? Besides, Jubilee's fireworks powers made her unique and original in this day and age and super strength and super speed, while helpful, are a huge step down from being able to blow things up with fireworks. (Until it's established she can do that as a full time power, I'm not counting the mist form as that was a fluke) Plus combine her fireworks powers with her vampiric abilities and you basically have made the character interesting again.

To be honest, I was one of the few people who always found Jubilee interesting from the start but I'm aware that she gets a lot of spite which was probably why Bendis chose her as a victim of M-Day to begin with (Yeah thanks a lot Jubes haters. The last thing that hack needs is fanbases indirectly contributing to his crap) and I tend to have a soft spot for the characters with the cooler, stand-out-ish superpowers so it saddens me that someone with original and unique powers (Seriously can you name me one other superhero besides her that can shoot fireworks?) gets that taken away. But I can't really hate the new vampire status because of the way it's playing out and I'm interested in seeing where this goes. (Provided she doesn't get shoved to a lousy writer that is)

I'd rather her have her original, very unique and individual powers versus her vampiric powers. It seems fairly obvious that the X-Men were just trying to tap into the pop-culture Vampire phenomenon that is going on, and had no idea what to do with Jubilation, so thought she'd be a good candidate for tapping that market (it looks like matthew corleone agrees with me on some parts of that). I actually liked Jubilee and rather than explore her, they did a very good job disempowering and than mutilating her as a character just because she wasn't X-TREME enough for certain writers. So what do they replace her with? A semi-supernatural creature that any superhero worth their salt could take out in one panel or less.

I really don't like this change.

I agree with you I think Jubilee should remain a vampire but get her pyrokinesis abilities back.

Let's not forget that as a vampire Jubilee can connect to X-23 better than before.

i feel vampires in superhero comics, though there is a history, is stupid. it was good for captain britain and mi-13, but for x-men it was just cashing in.
i think however that it's good only in that Marvel kept one of their generally hyperbolic statements: "long lasting changes". a mistake at full bore  is sometimes better than tepid inconsequential ones.

    edit: to make x-man plural.

If it weren't for Twilight, I would have no problem with it. Because of Twilight, it makes me groan. It's honestly too trendy.

I like her with powers of some sort. I like her in the books, but yeah, I preferred Wondra to this.

I Actually like her as a Vamp now!, i mean i loved cute bubble gum jubi as much as the rest but now she has to deal with something dark like her vampirism its brought out her personality and made her grow up a bit, i like reading her inner conflict with her blood lust and her trying to retain herself, she still has a jokey side, but now with this her character is evolving and i like that.
