Should we just replace Power Girls book with this...

Not complaining, but after reading Power Girl for the last few months, JSA All-Stars showcases her so much better than her own book. We open in Parador and see the aftermath of gods being summoned, jump to Turkey where Maxine is recovering and blows shit up (awesome, but it was like 2 pages, at this rate we might understand what happens in a year), then cut back to Power Girl kicking the shit out of Gods and so on and so forth. Stargirl and her crew come in and set it up for next month's fight. Then, we get this Liberty Belle and Hourman story, that is just not doing anything for me.

    The Good:
Power Girl. She carries this book for me. Her innerdialogue is really well written and she's drawn really well. I enjoy Maxine and she is part of the reason I have this book on my pull list, but she is underused at the moment. Just glad I got to see Maxine looking at her cleavage for some reason.

    The Bad:
The cutting back and forth without really going into any detail gets old. It doesn't happen all the time in this book, but this issue it was really hard to get into at times even despite it. The gods are pretty much out of left field (it's a comic book, i know), but it feels promptly thrown together as something Power Girl can beat up (which i'm okay with). The power sets for said gods are unique, but some background would be nice going into it.

    The Ugly:
Liberty Belle and Hourman's feature in the end. I like both characters and want them both to have more face time, but this storyline is just lame. I hope they join their respective teams soon and move on from this.

    All in all:
I liked this book, but I never would recommend it to someone. JSA All-Stars can be really good, but I just can't help but feel like it will never meet that potential.
