  1. Prisoner of the Reds! - Scientist after scientist begins to defect from the United States to behind the Iron Curtain. Donald Blake suspects something is wrong and decides to trick the Reds into believing he has discovered a new virus for germ warfare. They capture the doctor and imprison him along with the other defected scientists in a dungeon. After transforming into Thor, he breaks free and attempts to escape the dangers of the dungeon and its many guards.
  2. The Comic (text story) - A TV comedian longs to return to his roots.
  3. I Know the Secret of the Sea-Monster! - A sea-monster terrorizes the North Atlantic, but a reporter learns that there is more to the story.

Look at the cover.These chains are electronically treated! I cannot break them!Uhh... what?PRISONER OF THE REDS!Wait for it... wait for it... LMAO!!!O.K. let's talk about the good first - two issues ago, the creative team wasn't credited at all. Last issue the big three (writer, penciler, inker) were credited in small print in the bottom margin of the first page. Marvel really liked their trends back in 1962, huh? Out are the aliens, still in are the Reds, and now there’s this endless stream of their biggest superheroes being prisoners of something or another. Fine, but leaving Journey into Mystery to dabble in trends instead of pushing things like it has done the past few months is a little more than disappointing.
