He goes to the Himalayas in search of a childhood sweetheart: Saïcha. She died in a Chinese bombardment. He stays in India to avenge his friend, to mourn. The meeting he makes with the Chinese pilot responsible for Saïcha's death will allow him to take a step forward. He then stays to rebuild himself, because he can no longer return, because he loves this country. He travels a lot, does a few odd jobs to survive: a farmer in a village, a guide, an itinerant trader, a cheese maker. He lives with locals, hotels or in small rentals.
Each of his many encounters is at the origin of an album. Drolma, the wild child he manages to tame holds a special place. They walk together, she becomes a bit of his adopted daughter. He takes care of his education, sends him to school. With the others Jonathan is always ready to help, to understand.
