During a blinding snowstorm, a group of settlers are declared outlaws and have bounties placed on their heads. To defend themselves against these ruthless bounty killers, the settlers turn to one man for help: Jonah Hex!
Jonah Hex stumbles into a Mormon camp where the people think he was hired to kill them by the citizens of a near by town. He convinces them he is not there to kill them so the Mormons hire Hex to go into town and buy supplies. While there the towns people try to get Hex to tell them where the Mormons camp is. He agrees and when he is coming back to the camp The Mormons open fire on the people with Hex. After the battle, Hex talks to the Mormons and they make a deal for some land if Hex agrees to kill the leader of the town.
