twilightthunder's Jonah Hex #1 - Giving the Devil His Due review

I have lotsa' issues, and i'm really enjoying it!

I was lucky enough to buy the first and second issue when i saw them quite a while ago... Then a friend told me that he had found a guy who had lots of issues at a fair price and i rushed there and bought quite a few (there's still some a' them left) And so, i learned to love Jonah Hex... His series is pretty graphic, it should have a "mature readers suggested" Label, i don't mind violence in comics (read my reviewed material), but at least put a warning for children -12 yo that buy'em. Jimmy Palmiotti and Justin Gray are having the time of their lives working on this... There's lots of guns, amazing action sequences and lotsa' Hard-Boiled quotes (i.e Unforgiven, The good the bad and the ugly, high plains drifter) Also, we have an all-star roster of artists working on this title, covers also play a major role, they're drawn by pros. Anyways, it's a shame this series isn't coming out on paperback format, it'd be so much easier to carry, despite this i'm really enjoying the adventures of Jonah Hex... It's really one of the few monthly DC titles i'm able to read, can't stand crappy crossovers and such!

The first thing to be noticed here is how striking the art by Luke Ross is. He draws Hex to bear a very strong resemblance to Clint Eastwood. It works also. You could see an Eastwood of twenty years ago playing this character. I will give credit however to Jason Kieths colors for bringing this world to life.  However, I would have to be honest a...
