Who should play Joker next

It's a pretty tough call. I would say Mark Hamill but he's to old to play him in live action now. But all I can say is that whoever plays him next will instantly get bashed by fanboys for not being like Heath Ledger.

Anthony Misiano.

His cosplay is accurate to the bull's eye.

From the perfectly devious grin, to the three-piece purple suit, this guy is Joker perfection. He's an actor as well.

I am just unsure about his voice and impression. If he could nail the Joker's personality, he fits the bill perfectly.

No one.  There are plenty of other villains in Batman's rogues gallery to chose from.  Whats the point in revisiting one we've already seen multiple times?

I will second Misiano. Having trouble thinking of any current actors who would be a good fit. I'd suggest Daniel Day-Lewis but too many cities would get leveled when he started getting into character.

Search 'City of Scars' or 'Joker: Patient J' in on Youtube. You'll see that Paul Molnar is perfect for the part.

That is a good question indeed. I would say Crispin Glover though he MAY be a little too old at this point.

@Matchstick: penguin was in the adam west tv show, in batman returns, batman the animated series and the batman cartoon. Mr. Freeze: Batman & Robin, Batman the animated series, the batman, young justice, so yes theses two have been used over and over. riddler too has been used: Batman the animated series, young justice, Batman forever and probably more. I agress on clayface, killer croc, hugo strange and Black mask, but isnt deathstroke a more teen titan villain? and the calculator i dont know who he is suppose to be the enemy of.

Bane has been shown correctly once. I would like to see a serious movie with Poison Ivy, Mr. Freeze and The Riddler before we get a new Joker. Jim Carrey was ok as the Riddler the script was just bad. A crime boss Penguin in a noir tale could be nice.

@tupiaz: yeah, the bane in batman and robin was an insult to the comics. I would also like to see a serious movie with Poison Ivy and Mr. Freeze, Riddler and penguin im neutral about. They should get a hot woman to play poison ivy one that can play ivy the right way, and an actor that can actually show how cold and serious mr freeze is.

I prefer Tom waits.. But I do really prefer a unique lady joker.

Marilyn Manson I believe he is the one with the talents for our new age of Joker. No we will never have a Heath Ledger again he made his own Joker thats why it is so tuff trying to figure out where to take it next. so instead of comparing why don't we take it in the direction of Scott Snyder. In his Death of the Family story arch Snyder took a new and sinister look on the joker and did very well with the idea. So if there was a new movie to come out based upon the new 52 comics why not Manson. After reading the Death of the Family I cant think of any one else capable of preforming on that level. I believe that he is the man with the needed talent for this type of joker. now obviously this movie wouldn't be the norm to use it would be branching out into a more sinister thought process even more so then we saw with ledger. If it was done correctly it would not surprise me one bit if it turned out to be rated "R". But the big question is are we ready for this type of Joker to be unleashed on the big screen?

When will Killer Croc ever get to appear in a film? He's one of the most interesting Batman villains.

I don't know who I'd like to see Live-Action (personally, I think we should avoid the Joker for a bit on the big screen; perhaps mention that he exists but don't show him for a while).

Animation-wise, I loved John DiMaggio's Joker in Batman: Under the Red Hood. If we need a go-to Joker now that Hamill is retired, I say get DiMaggio!

I want Troy Baker. He can do a perfect Hamill voice, AND he looks the part. He's perfect.

Man Troy Baker is so talented! His voice has so much range.

BTW Joygirl, do you watch the show Hannibal? You got a perfect joker in that show.

@madeinbangladesh: Dun watch it no, I'm not particularly hip with what all the kids are into. As I type this I'm watching the '95 Gamera.

I would highly recommend it as I can see you enjoy a lot of horror. The show is a masterpiece and probably one of the goriest show ever and it's on frickin NBC. You will thank me later.
