what are some good stories featuring joker?
I was reading and posting in tha thread about why someone hasnt killed Joker yet and it got me curious about some of tha other stories he's been featured in. I'm excluding killing joke and death in the family. I wanna read some of tha other stories outside of tha big ones that everybody knows about and usually references. Like some of tha smaller story arcs from batman or detective comics. Tanks in advance.
The Killing Joke is a MUST read for any Joker fan.
Brian Azzarello's Joker is also a really good read (but is out of continuity)
" Emperor Joker is a personal favoriteI enjoy it too, but I personally think a world with the Joker as an omnipotent being would be a little more disturbing, like too much for Vertigo disturbing.

EJ is my LEAST favourite DC comic book ever. I almost couldn't finish it.
Brian Azzarello's Joker is at the top of the list, along with Arkham Asylum; A Serious House on Serious Earth
I can see where you're coming from on this, I have problems with it, but in the end I like it well enough." @Emperor Gonzo Noir said:

Another great Joker story is
Slayride, Joker goes on a joyride around Gotham with Tim Drake as a hostage
What's your take on Batman Inc? I was hesitant as first, but I've learned never to doubt Morrison. Batman and Robin #16 is the best issue of any comic this year, imo.
Back on track
Man Who Laughs is a great re-telling of Batman and the Joker's first confrontation
also the Laughing Fish story is another fantastic story, you might have seen the animated version on the Batman:The Animated Series. It's usually collected in all of the many "Best Joker stories ever told "collections
On the subject of Batman: TAS, Mad Love is another great one you've probably already read but is still a great story worth re-reading, the newer deluxe edition has some other animated style adventure including one of the best Joker stories from The Batman Adventures Annual called , Laughter After Midnight. It's show what happens after the Joker nearly buys it and shows his trek back to his hideout.
I really hated EJ, Slayride is a personal fav. Mad love is brilliant. Some lesser mentioned is his appearences in other characters comics. His 3 story arch in Catwoman (the first series) issue 63-65 is great.
THE KILLING JOKE. Is a must raed for sure.

Joker by Brian Azzarello is one fine read. if you want a diffrent take on the Joker's birth check out "Lovers and Mad men"
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=D3pq8iP__HM" @Emperor Gonzo Noir: YES! Slayride is a classic! I WANT TO SPEAK TO THE MANAGER! "
Couldn't resist.
Also, OP might want to check out Shadow of the Bat #37...I think that's the first part of a two story arc. The second half has a moment that's off to say the least but overall it's classic Joker. The greatest Joker Stories ever told vol 1, 2, &3...might do it for you. Another good story is "two faces" it's an else words and doesn't really focus on Joker but what they do with the duality is just perfect.
