For me its that Mark Hamil voice and laugh. The animated series back in the day made me a fan of the Joker. (And the Killing Joke). But if I had to pick one thing I will always hear Mark Hamil Joker whenever I read him. Hamil has nailed it time after time.

Whole character is iconic, honestly, but his laugh (Hamill's) has no equal.

The most iconic thing about Joker is that face. Green hair, bleached skin and twisted ruby grin.
