The excitement continues to build as we approach the release of "Batman: Arkham Asylum."  Here is some good news to get you even more excited.  Jeff over at Giant Bomb got word from Eidos that the Joker will be a free downloadable character for the PS3 version of the game.  It seems there isn't much information available just yet except that he'll be playable on the "challenge maps."  Eidos also released a nice image of the Joker (which I'm also stealing from Jeff).

Good question! I want to as well. I have it preordered but I'd still want to try it first.  As for the PS3, it's just because they are the fail system, and have to find someway to come back. Especially since the Xbox picked up Final Fantasy 13!!  Sony is losing it and they know it :P

It sounds like the Joker will just be available for multi-player stuff.  I'm guessing that's what challenge maps are.  Would be much cooler if they opened up multiple skins that you could use like they did with Force Unleashed.

Also, take heart fellow X-box users, from what I understand, Yoda and Vader eventually became downloads for the systems they weren't released on.  By September the Joker will be available for X-box.  Besides, maybe they'll give X-box users Darkseid and we can run around Omega Beaming everyone.

Dammit... This game just keeps tempting me... It sounds awesome, it looks awesome, Batman himself is awesome and they have two great voice-actors for Joker and Bats... And now it turn out that if I buy it, I'll get to play as the Joker too... Aw the hell with it, if I have enough money when it comes out, I'm buying it!

I have both PS3 and Xbox 360. 360 is wayy better, but I'm happy about Final Fantasy XIII and Versus XIII are coming out for it - you can't really have an Xbox version of it.

PS3 is the superior system Xbox is not. That is why we have batman arkham asylum collectors edition nailed and xbox does not so batman arkham asylum collectors edition is better for ps3 than xbox. I think Batman would agree with me and so would the whole entire dc universe! Ha ha ha!
