Batman 680 is a clear indication Joker knows Batman's identity. He is in the room when they call him Bruce and finally, when he walks around unmasked.

I wonder how they're going to write their way out of that one. So far they've only hinted he knows, but doesn't care.

That used to be the indication, but now they actually proved it.

If you look in Nightwing 151 Dick is with John Stewart and Superman moving someone's coffin into the Hall of Justice, the coffin is behind maximum security defenses to make sure no one tampers with it. Could be Bruce's "body"

wouldn't that lift suspicions? Gotham's Dark knight dies and Gotham's white knight disappears?

All the psychological dueling aside, one thing is for certain: Joker murderously hates The Bat family. So even though Bruce Wayne is of no interest to him, pushing Batman over the edge is. And the best (and maybe only) way is to kill members of his family: Alfred, Robin, Nightwing, Batgirl..anyone

In A Death in the Family, it was clear Batman was ready to kill him. So, that's what I'm actually worried about; trying to justify why Mr. J wouldn't go after Bruce's protégées.

The Joker has always known but the Joker only wants to bring down Batman, Bruce Wayne is of no consequence. Any sane man would have just shot Bruce but Joker ain't exactly sane.
