What if Joker was in Marvel world instead of DC and had an archenemy in Spiderman like he did Batman how would that pan out?
Joker
Character » Joker appears in 4198 issues.
The Joker, Clown Prince of Crime, is Batman's arch-nemesis. An agent of chaos known for his malicious plots, wacky gadgets and insidious smile, he has caused Batman more suffering than any other villain he has ever faced. His origin, name, and true motivations remain a mystery.
Joker in Marvel
it'd be uber-awesome.
Joker would probably do all of the things the Goblin did...waitaminute...did the Goblin switch out with the Joker?
" Was that when Batman crossed with Spiderman? Was it a good book? "
Yep (to both questions), Joker teams up with Carnage while Batman and Spidey team up...
'Nuff said.
Uhm, I can't remember if Joker and Carnage actually fought Spidey and the Bat together...
as for Superman and Spidey? yeah, it was the very first time marvel and DC crossed over.
Can't find the stupid picture, but it's awesome.
I think you can find it here on Comic Vine.
It would be cool he he appears in the Dark Reign series but wants to take on Norman Osbourne. Or maybe have him fight Luke Cage.
Joker would be attracted to Daredevil because Daredevil is so easy to torture, Mr. Fear proved this. However, the Joker would make mincemeat of Daredevil because he is so dumb. Punisher would have a hard time tracking down the Joker because he doesn't operate like the villains he is used to killing. He can disappear and reappear at random. I imagine that Carnage and Joker would seek each other out and become Mayhem or some such insanity. They would be like two bullets in a derringer, ready to kill anyone who stands in their way. It would be great to see.
I'll put in another vote for Joker vs Daredevil, especially with what Bendis, Brubaker and Diggle have done with the Man Without Fear. I can see the Clown Prince of Crime fitting in really well with that set of characters, especially Bullseye and Typhoid Mary.
I'm not sure the argument that because Marvel has heroes that kill would pan out against Joker. DC has plenty of heroes ready to kill and a lot of villains have tried killing the joker as well. All have failed at killing him. Joker's victim list includes many devious villains as well.
The Joker is a brilliant villain. If he were to go against Marvel characters it would probably pan out just like in DC he'd either outsmart then like he does or writer fiat (unfortunately on that part) would keep him alive.
they had Joker remember that cross-over in Marvel Vs DC, as if it happened a few months before it,
but Spider-Man didnt remember as he was Ben Reilly. Joker told him he liked the new costume.
always thought it was odd that they put that in there.
really a few people summed it up really, really well and in detail here.

"I think the Joker would be more attracted to Daredevil than Spider-Man for the whole "straight man" comic routine. "
Me too. Daredevil is almost the marvel equivalent of Batman.
Depends what he decides to do, hes just as likely to be a minor nuisance as cause a world war.
Plus, there is a really good chance Batman would follow him there, as anyone dealing with the Joker for the first time would have no clue what was in store for them.
Joker gets underestimated a lot (except by Bats, because Bats knows better) I can't see spider-man even taking him seriously until the insane plot was well in motion.
Joker allows for some really well-written villainy, I can't see this being any different. I doubt he'd come on top since heroes generally don't lose, and theres a high chance Batman will be there to warn everyone.
" What if Joker was in Marvel world instead of DC and had an archenemy in Spiderman like he did Batman how would that pan out? "Punisher would kill him in a guest appearance.
Do you realize that their are at least ten vigilantes who kill who operate in Gotham not to mention the endless list of villains who want his head on a stake as well Joker has put down and defeated people way stronger adn all around better than {unisher so this "Punisher kills him is not a issue"

Joker won't put himself in a position where his death is likely.. unless.. its part of the plan.

Spider-Man=Optimistic
Joker=Despondent
Optimistic+Despondent=Optimistic
Spider-Man+Joker=Optimistic
-Optimistic=Joker
Joker=Optimistic
Joker=-Joker
-Dark and serious=Gay
-Joker=Gay
Spider-Man+Joker=-Joker
SPIDER-MAN+JOKER=GAY!!!
Joker would mentally torture Daredevil with the latter's strong sense of morality, he'd mentally torture Spider-Man when he finds out enough about him to get to his loved ones, he'd trick Punisher into killing innocents, he'd pull out supernatural plots against Ghost Rider (like when he summoned Etrigan to kill Batman), he'd probably challenge the Kingpin, he could even be an Avengers-level threat with WMDs. During Dark Reign, Joker would've went to war against Osborne like Zodiac did in similar but probably more comical ways. Joker would be an awesome Marvel villain.
Joker beat once Deathstroke, Deatstroke once beat the X Men with Wolverine and he once kicked Punishe in the Balls.
Then there is no way Punisher and Wolverine could even touch him.
He will take over the Marvel universe in like a year.
I think Daredevil is the only character that he could actually rok, he is like Batman and that the way that the Joker work at all his potential.
" Punisher probably would have killed him along time ago. "Just seen this thread and that was the first thing that came into my head. Then I see you put it. -_- stay outta my head
Once again Batman is not the only person who deals with The Joker. The Joker has a hit list on his head longer than the holy bible and their are plenty of vigilantes operational in Gotham who are willing to kill but can not kill The Joker. I would say a prepared Joker kills Punisher Spider-Man Daredevil or Cap long before they kill him. The only reason Batman beats a prepared joker most of the time is due to CIS and PIS because of their relation ship and Batman's knowledge on how the Joker operates
WTF? The Punisher?, I am the only human that remember Archie Meets the Punisher and Punisher: Purgatory and Punisher: A Man Named Frank?
Still, the Joker beats Superman, Wonder Woman, Deathstroke, how there is a way that Punisher could even touch him?
" Spider-Man=Optimistic Joker=Despondent Optimistic+Despondent=Optimistic Spider-Man+Joker=Optimistic -Optimistic=Joker Joker=Optimistic Joker=-Joker -Dark and serious=Gay -Joker=Gay Spider-Man+Joker=-Joker SPIDER-MAN+JOKER=GAY!!! "This has so little logic in it, I feel I must tear it apart myself: Even assuming you can say everything in the first 3 lines is given, and you work at it like a mathematical proof (It's not, but I'll get to that later) You can say that Spider-man+Joker=Optimistic, but the next step to that is either Joker=Optimistic-Spider-man=Optimistic-Optimistic=0 or Spider-man=Optimistic-Joker=Optimistic-Despondent; however given that optimistic+despondent=Optimistic (something you can already see as despondent being the additive identity element, aka 0, but lets just go with it), you can subtract despondent from both sides , and gather that Optimistic=optimistic-despondent, and get Spider-man=optimist, something already given. Assuming it is also given that -optimist=Joker (your givens are all over the place, so I can't even see what you were trying to prove with this moronic set up), you can see that Joker=Despondent=0. -optimist=0. optimist=0 Optimist=Despondent, which is not true; your argument is invalid right there.
There's more I could say about this specific set up, but I wont, because that's not what we are here for (I only disproved the set up to begin with, because I felt it was my duty as a former math major to remove him from the gene pool, but barring a gun, and the knowledge of where he lives, the most I could do would be to utterly disprove the basis of his argument). The fact of the matter is that the Spider-man, while not as good of a match for the Joker as Batman, would make a decent arch-nemesis, given his vulnerability, as, moreso than many other heroes, more of an average person beyond the mask. Think about it: Batman is always shown as batman, and Bruce Wayne as a facade. Superman is closer to Spider-man on that, but his level of power makes him still not able to pull off that niche. Any public identity superheroes such as the Fantastic Four or Steve Rogers can be excluded from this, since by definition, their normal-lives are inherently not normal. Similarly with super-rich characters like Batman or Tony Stark, and also with general misanthropes, or such, as they are also exempt from the social and/or financial problems normal people have. There are relatively few super-heroes that function in society similarly to normal people, and Spider-man is one of them. And as has been shown The Killing Joke, the Joker can make normal people's life a living hell. It's unlikely that Peter's alter-ego could be maintained for long against the Joker, who, though people seem to forget, has great intellect, and reasoning skills, and is not subject to the genre blindness that other villains are, or at least to the extent of others. In fact, not to disrespect Spidey, but the Joker may be too good of a villain for Spidey. Given the whiney, emo wangst that he had in, for example OMD, which though stupid is not totally out of character for him (making a deal with the devil is, however) , it is unlikely that old Pete could survive the psychological torment the Joker would put him through, through endless lose-lose situations, sadistic choices, and the like, and end up sane at he end.
I would have to say Daredevil would make a better villain, as he is more like Marvel's Batman analogue , and would be able to keep up with the Joker's Psychological punishment easier. The Punisher probably wouldn't be able to kill him, because, despite the Punisher's lenient use of lethality (I love alliteration) The Joker is also known for manipulation, strategy, traps, and having more lives than a box of kittens covered in Marzipan.
I remember the crossover with Batman/Captain America where Joker punched Red Skull in the face and said something about hating Nazi's. Nice to know that even though Joker wants to kill everyone that he has pride in his country. What would happen if Joker and Loki teamed up. Maybe Joker and Arcade.
:Spoilers ahead:
The only reason Punisher survived is Joker decided to fire his gun off right next to Punisher's eyes instead of putting a bullet into his head. Just to mess with him. Joker used Punisher's rage against him. Joker really did run circles around him.
But, to be fair, Punisher did get the upper hand by accident. Joker slipped on a banana peel and it gave Punisher a chance to get a gun aimed at Joker's forehead. Joker's reaction. "A banana peel? Now THAT"S comedy." Punisher pulled back the hammer and Joker said "You are really going to do it!"
Then Batman stepped in and pulled Punisher off of Joker just as the gun went off. Batman told Joker to run, and Joker vanished into the night. Batman allowed Punisher one punch because "You probably feel I deserve it." Punisher went for another punch and Batman disarmed him and knocked him over ".. but one punch is all you get. Leave Gotham or I'll put you in Arkham with all the other lunatics." Punisher's answer "You and that grinning madman desearve each other." and he walked away.
